Electric Linear Actuator

High-speed ball-screw linear actuator: 1000 mm/s, 20,000 mm/s² (2 g), 500 to 2,000 kg load, ±0.05 mm repeatability, 700 mm stroke.

The actuator inside every Gmotion six-axis platform, available as a standalone component. An industrial AC servo motor drives a precision ball-screw assembly in a sealed housing with universal-joint end fittings for direct platform mounting. Three load classes — 500, 1,000 and 2,000 kg — share the same 700 mm stroke, 1000 mm/s travel speed and 2 g peak acceleration under full load. Position repeatability holds to ±0.05 mm, which is what lets G-Control drive motion-cueing transients an off-the-shelf actuator cannot follow. Each actuator ships with its own Gmotion control block and a G-Control licence, so a single unit becomes a 1DOF axis and six become a hexapod without any third-party electronics. Built in-house in the USA for OEM motion platforms, robotics test equipment, vibration tables, camera and antenna positioning and any application that needs fast, repeatable linear motion under load. Stroke, load class and motor power can be tailored to your geometry.

Where it is used

  • Legs of Stewart / hexapod motion platforms — six actuators make a 6DOF system
  • Single-axis (1DOF) heave, surge or vibration stages for test rigs
  • Robotics test equipment, balance and disturbance rigs
  • Camera, antenna and payload positioning under high dynamic load
  • OEM motion platforms built on third-party frames
